You can pick up multiple friends - that is sometimes required for a dance party and a photo (see below). Ranger Danger is triggered if your vehicle hits a friend who is waiting for you, or who is going home after hanging out however, it is not triggered for friends with which you are currently hanging out. If you've triggered ranger danger while already hanging out, the friend heads home, without any additional penalty. If you've triggered Ranger Danger while the friend is waiting for you, you can leave the area and return, the friend will still be there. You can also call them while they are waiting to cancel the meeting. If you decline to hang out, they’ll return to the usual location.

You need to impress them with activities related to them. Some friends initially decline to hang out, saying they need to know you better. Once you called a friend in the Friends Book, you can also speed dial them in the main Phone Number Book. However, you can call them even at night, after they went home - in that case they instantly appear near their work place. The services they normally offer become unavailable until they return. The friends will stop their work and will wait for you on the street near their job. You can use the quick dial option from the Friends Book.
